Spain proved inconsistent in the group stage, losing their last game against Japan, but at their best they can beat anyone in this tournament. Led by Pedri in midfield, the Spaniards are looking to return to the quarter-finals for the first time since 2010, their only World Cup triumph. Morocco suffered an upset performance against Europe’s leading side in Belgium and will be keen to do so again.

Portugal vs. Switzerland, 2 p.m., Fox

Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr, just as he wanted, and a possible falling-out with Portugal coach Fernando Santos, could be his end for many. Focus on this game with comments. Cup game. Portugal looked capable of being a dangerous side in their 2-1-0 group stage performance, but it’s unclear whether Ronaldo’s side’s display will have any impact. Switzerland is aiming for its best result in the World Cup since reaching the quarter-finals on home soil in 1954.
