The Times spoke to five people who had been made aware of the meeting and who gave some details about the condition of anonymity.
The Times reported that at times the videotaped interview was strained, with Cuomo challenging one of the investigators over his fairness and independence. When investigators were done, they left through an exit far from the entrance to the building where the photographers were located, the newspaper said.
Asked about his meeting with investigators at a press conference on Monday, Cuomo declined to say anything.
“I said I would cooperate with him and at the appropriate time I will comment on the review,” he said. “But now is not the right time.”
State Attorney General Letitia james hired investigators to investigate after several women accused Cuomo of subjecting them to inappropriate kissing and inappropriate touching or sexual remarks.
Cuomo has denied the allegations.
