Police in Georgia are chasing a suspect who shot two DeKalb County Sheriff’s deputies Wednesday while serving an arrest warrant.
An open fire at a residence in Lithuania early this morning is the second shootings directed at law enforcement in the greater Atlanta area in the last 24 hours. Last night, Clayton County Police Department Officer Henry Lacson was killed in the line of duty, leaving a total of four people dead, including the suspect.
Both deputies were reported to be “conscious and vigilant” in the recent shootings, the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office said. Fox 5 Atlanta.

Police did not release details on the nature of the incident, but said the suspect “shot two sheriff’s investigators this morning while trying to get an arrest warrant at a residence in Wellington Circle, Lithuania, Georgia.”
It is not immediately clear what the warrant is and the name of the suspect has not been made public.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office told LBL Wednesday morning that there is no additional information to share at this time.
Elsewhere in the US, two police officers in Indianapolis are currently recovering after being stabbed by suspects in an “unprovoked attack.”
