Last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown was the first full-fledged show in 16 months. It was a lot of fun for live and television viewers alike, but a lot happened that wasn’t part of the broadcast.
Edge and Roman Reigns clashed in tag team action on SmackDown, while Finn Balor returned to the WWE main roster. Apart from them, the live crowd witnessed some memorable moments which were special for them. They came before SmackDown, after the show, or during commercial breaks.
WWE posted some of these unsolicited moments on social media, with Liv Morgan’s emotional promo being the standout of the bunch. However, they will not be included in this list. We’ll look at moments that were purely for the live crowd, whether through WWE or specific Superstars.

#5 Harry Smith teams up with Austin Theory in a dark match before WWE SmackDown
Before SmackDown went on air, WWE offered two dark matches for the live crowd. The more notable one saw Harry Smith return to the company. The British Bulldog’s Son teamed up with The Austin Theory against Odyssey Jones and Zyron Quinn.
This was Smith’s first WWE match in more than a decade, who has since worked for New Japan Pro Wrestling and MLW. He was known as David Hart Smith during his previous run and won the WWE Tag Team Championship with Tyson Kidd in 2010.
by Harry Smith Allegedly Signed with WWE a few months ago, he is likely to return on-screen in next week’s episode of SmackDown. In the second dark match ahead of last night’s show, NXT Superstar Xia Lee faces Aaliyah, who has been traded to Raw for Mandy Rose.
