Coffee is a must for Ree Drummond
Drummond says she can’t live without coffee. It’s the drink that keeps him going. She is so fond of coffee that she wrote a post about it on The Pioneer Woman blog. As you might have guessed, the title of his post is “Coffee is my life”. Drummond likes his coffee best when it is iced. “Good or bad, right or wrong, I don’t want to live in a world without coffee. I start every morning with iced coffee, and it’s the best way to start the day,” she writes.
Ree Drummond loves butter
Drummond says that butter is her “lover.” She once told her blog readers that she liked butter because it made her happy. “My fridge is full of pounds, not sticks of butter,” Drummond wrote. “As an ingredient, I believe in butter. Butter is a church I’m a member of. If butter ran for president, I’d vote for him. It adds color, flavor, beauty to everything I cook.” and adds to the joy.”
Ree and Ladd Drummond look forward to movie night
Drummond and her husband, Ladd, enjoy a movie night. The Accidental Country Girl once shared a list of her favorite movies with her fans. some of his top movies are start starring Leonard DiCaprio; rain Man, starring Tom Cruise; and City, starring Ben Affleck.
Ree Drummond loves to stay at home
The Pioneer Woman says she loves being at home. In frontier follies, she says that being at home all day makes her “inside the wheel of the car and jump with joy.”
For Drummond, leaving the house can sometimes hinder his progress. She says that when her movement is interrupted, it may take a little effort to regroup and get her energy back. She likens the loss of momentum to a pile of leaves that were in a clean pile but are then carried away by the wind. The process of “collecting the leaves” and getting back on track can be exhausting. Staying at home helps him build up his energy. She jokes that she could probably stay at home for months and be fine.
Pioneer woman likes to start early
Drummond is an early riser. She explains in her book that she wakes up between 5:00 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. to take a leap in her day. She says she enjoys spending quiet time so she can have a cup of coffee, pray and read her Bible. Sometimes she lets herself sleep till 7 in the morning, but she says that doesn’t happen often. According to him, sleeping more than once a month “thrown him away.”
Bassett Hounds cheer Ree Drummond
In The Pioneer Woman magazine, Drummond says she loves basset hounds because they remind her of her childhood. “My first dog, when I was 3 years old, was a basset hound,” Drummond wrote. “And a Basset Hound was the first dog Ladd and I got as a married couple. I have loved Basset Hounds all my life! Their extra skin, floppy ears, puffy eyes and hilarious personalities amuse me And make my heart leap.”
