Cops in London, Ont. An eight-year-old girl has died in a pedestrian accident in the city on Tuesday night.
No one has been arrested so far and no charges have been laid, but a 76-year-old female driver is involved and remains at the scene, police said.
Police say the driver was heading west on Riverside Drive on Wonderland Road when she collided with another vehicle at the light and struck the second vehicle before continuing through the intersection and hitting the light standard, wood and then pedestrians.
Eleven pedestrians were injured as a result of an accident on the west end of the city, with six to 30-year-olds injured.
Several members of the Canadian Girl Guides have confirmed their involvement in the clash.
In a statement, she said, “We are in touch with the Canadian Girl Guides local volunteers to provide any support and we will assist the London Police Service in any way possible in their investigation.”
