A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the sexual abuse of several victims in Tuscaloosa County.
Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Ct. Jack Kennedy announced the charges against Tommy Ray Wilson on Tuesday. He is charged with one count of first-degree, one count of first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of first-degree sodomy.
Kennedy said the alleged crimes took place over the past year and involved several victims. He declined to elaborate in an attempt to protect the identity of the victims.
“It took a lot of courage for these victims to come forward at this time,” Kennedy said. “The Sexual Assault Division works with other community partners to support victims and bring these types of offenders to justice.”
Wilson was placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on bonds totaling $ 195,000.
Anyone with additional information about Wilson is asked to call investigators at 205-464-8690.
