A man has died and another man has been arrested following a gunfight inside an East Jefferson County artifact Tuesday night.
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies and Center Point Fire Medics responded to a report of a man screaming at 9:40 am in the 200 block of Chalkville Manor Drive, Sgt. Joni Money.
Once on scene, they found a 37-year-old man suffering multiple gunshot wounds into the art.
The victim’s name has not yet been revealed, and he was taken to a UAE hospital where he was pronounced dead
Money said the shooter remained in place and spoke with detectives.
After the interview, 40-year-old Marcus Ladrell Jenkins was sent to the Jefferson County Jail on charges of manslaughter.
Jenkins was released from jail at 4:17 am after posting a $ 30,000 bond.
Money said the circumstances surrounding the shooting are still under investigation.
