Brazil’s press service stunned reporters after picking up a cat and throwing it to the floor during a World Cup press conference with Vinicius Jr.
Speaking to reporters ahead of Brazil’s quarter-final against Croatia on Friday, the Real Madrid winger looked away and started laughing before asking an official about the incident.
Videos from the press conference show the official petting the cat as it sits on the podium. Then he grabbed the creature from behind and threw it to the floor, where it landed on all fours.
At the same time, the reporters seemed surprised, as gasps can be heard in the background. The press conference continued after the official and Vinicius broke up laughing.
