The brother of a pregnant California woman who was found murdered and burned has been arrested in her death.
Fresno police announced at a news conference Wednesday that 41-year-old Aaron Jamal Dudley has been arrested in connection with the death of his sister, N-Kya Rebecca Logan, 26. Police say Logan was stabbed to death and then set on fire.
Several pieces of evidence led police to arrest Dudley, including the crime scene at the home and numerous witnesses who saw the fire.
“Investigators believe Dudley stabbed Logan multiple times with a sharp object while inside his home. He then put his sister’s body in a dumpster and took it to a nearby alley before setting it on fire,” – reports FOX 11 Los Angeles.

Logan was 36 weeks pregnant and had a baby shower on Sunday, officials said.
A witness reportedly took a picture of the suspect standing over the body, whom investigators identified as Dudley.
The Idaho murders are not related to a Pullman police operation near the Washington campus, police said.

Surveillance video from the apartment complex also captured footage of the suspect pushing a trash can through the neighborhood.
“He ran from the police, which is typical of a guilty person,” Fresno Police Chief Paco Balderrama said of the arrest.

Police previously met with Dudley in 2021, where he was found to be a threat to himself or another person and given a 72-hour detention.
Dudley was booked into the Fresno County Jail on two counts of murder, one in Logan’s death and the other in the death of her unborn child, whom she planned to name Noah, the Los Angeles Times reported.
