A Chicago police officer was arrested for urinating in an ice machine at a hotel bar in Florida


A Chicago police officer on vacation in Florida was arrested by deputies after he said he urinated on an ice machine at a bar.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Monday at Jimmy B’s Bar at the Beachcomber Hotel in St. Pete Beach, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. FOX 13 Tampa.

A bar employee told deputies he found the man, later identified as 30-year-old Henry Kapuch, “p—ing on the ice in the car,” the arrest report said.

When the worker told Kapush to stop, he allegedly began cursing at her and shoved her “several times.” According to the victim, Kapusch then pushed a security guard at the bar.

When deputies arrived at the scene, an employee and a security guard escorted them to the beach where Kapuch was with his girlfriend.

“The defendant actively resisted arrest and initially disobeyed lawful orders,” deputies wrote in an arrest affidavit obtained by FOX 13. “The defendant continued to scream and remained standing when ordered to sit down numerous times by law enforcement.”

Capuuch was arrested and charged with battery and disorderly conduct. He has been with the Chicago Police Department since November 2017, according to the City of Chicago’s public employee database.

A CPD spokeswoman confirmed Kapush has been “relieved from police duties” pending an internal investigation.
