For Christmas, he wants more friends.
When mom Susie Bolivar saw her 8-year-old daughter’s Christmas list for the first time, it broke her heart.
The list included the usual requests for Squishmallows, Apple Pencils and iPhones – but at the bottom of the list, the girl asked Santa for “more friends” and “less bullying of me”.
Bolivar posted the list on TikTok video3.8 million views and 201,300 likes, but she admits she didn’t want to share it at first.
“I didn’t mean to post this but you know…it’s 8 years old in 2022 and maybe we should talk about it,” she wrote in the caption.
My mom said she was “heartbroken” and people in the comments were really upset too.
“I teach elementary school and this breaks my heart,” one person commented.
“We have to do something about violence. “We’re having too much time,” said another.
“My heart hurts,” added another.
“I don’t even want to send my children to public school. So sad, someone commented.

“It made me cry. My daughter is 8 years old. It breaks me,” said the parent.
“It’s heartbreaking. I feel you. There is nothing more difficult than watching your children go through these things,” said one person.
Other parents have shared heartbreaking things they’ve seen on their children’s wish lists.
“My 9-year-old daughter wrote ‘Be Beautiful’ this year, it’s so sad,” someone shared.

“My 7-year-old brother posted that he wants his girlfriend back,” added another.
Some commentators have tried to offer solutions.
“You should set up a post office box so we can send him postcards from friends all over the country,” one person said.
“I have a 7-year-old who loves to be a pen pal,” said another.

“Go straight to school. Ask questions. Get to the bottom of it. Be a bear,” someone said.
“I’m a teacher, and if he’s writing about this, ask the teacher, but no matter what, get him off the bullies completely. Too many people lost their lives,” said another.
