Human remains were found over the weekend in a remote area of the desert in Buckeye, Arizona, police said.
Buckeye police said the skull and other bones were found near Johnson Road and South Avenue around 1 p.m. Saturday.
“Detectives are currently processing the scene. The remains will be turned over to the Maricopa County Medical Examiner for forensic examination and identification,” police said in a news release.
