“One Tree Hill” star Bevin Prince has opened up about the death of her husband.
William Dost died five months ago after being struck by lightning. Prince recalled losing her husband while boating in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina.
“We look up and we see a storm in the distance,” the prince told ABC News. “But we’ve been there many times, and at that point there was no rush for anyone to get out of the water. We were keeping an eye on it.”
Prince and Friend were on the boat with family and friends. The TV star also recalled that there were “60 boats” at the time.

After the storm, everything changed quickly. The prince and his father were on another boat, so the actress was not there when Dost was struck by lightning.
“It happened in an instant,” Prince recalled. “They ran over to him and by that time the police boat was coming, so he was quickly transferred to the police boat. From what I heard, you know, a lot of time and care . trying to revive it.”
Police performed CPR on Dost in a police boat until they arrived at the marina, at which time EMS performed life-saving measures, local authorities told ABC News.
The princess revealed what her husband said shortly before his death.
“Before he touched down, he lit a cigarette and looked at my dad and he said, ‘If we get hit by lightning, Mike, I want to be here.’ And then it happened,” he added. “I think it was really his time.”
William Friend and Bevin Prince got married in 2016.

“He was 33 years old. It was July 3rd and I believe the exact time of the lightning was at 3:13 p.m., so I have to believe that there was something bigger than me knowing that I had all the resources to save him. to do, said the prince.
Prince remembered her husband, who started a fitness business, as one of the “funniest people” she had ever met.
“I’m so proud. I’m so proud to have a life with him,” she said. “He was one of the funniest people I ever met in my life. He lit up every room he walked into. You’ll never forget meeting Will Friend.”
Prince and Dost got married in 2016. The couple had moved to North Carolina during the coronavirus pandemic to be closer to friends and family.
The actress started her career with a role in the movie “One Tree Hill”. He participated in the show from 2004 to 2012.
Before his death, Bevin Prince and William Friend started a fitness business together called Recess.
