Adele earned a rating on CBS Sunday night with her music special One Night Only.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, an average of 9.9 million viewers tuned in to watch the Adele show and interviewed Oprah Winfrey.
The special has garnered more than this year’s Academy Awards (9.85 million) and has been the biggest viewer of the CBS entertainment show since the April issue of NCIS.
Comparatively, NBC’s Sunday Night Football coverage averaged 13.5 million, and ABC’s Celebrity Wheel of Fortune averaged 3.4 million.

Adele’s One Night Only Interview with Winfrey, 67, was performed by James Corden and Ben Winston’s company Fullwell 73, which was special for a reunion of friends.
Critical response to the show was positively mixed – some reviews complained about the lackluster interview with Winfrey and praised the performance side.
According to reports in The Mirror, the CBS show could make more than $ 100 million (over £ 74 million) and Corden’s firm is expected to take a cut.
The two-hour special featured the pop singer’s first new material in six years, with insiders saying CBS paid at least $ 5 million, but perhaps $ 7 million, to debunk the interview.

In a personal chat with Winfrey, Adele confessed that her ex-husband Simon Konecki saved her life because he gave her ‘stability’ after she found herself on a ‘self-destructive path’.
