Analytics: The White House fights skyrocketing gas prices

It’s almost Turkey Day, political friends!

For those of you who are still at work, stay there! And for those of you who have this week’s holiday, you’re in luck!

Its Mabinti, Bringing you the news of the day.

What about those high gas prices …

In last week’s Analytics, I wrote about how gas prices are so high. Well, I think a lot of people are feeling my pain.

President Joe Biden releases 50 million barrels of oil from the nation’s emergency reserves to reduce fuel costs amid rising gas prices and skyrocketing inflation, the White House announced Tuesday.

Thirty-two million barrels will be released from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve over the next several months and will be replaced in the coming years. An additional 18 million barrels authorized by Congress will be released in the coming months.

Biden is facing political pressure to provide Americans with relief from high gas prices and to tame inflation, which reached a 31-year high last month. Republicans blamed biden policies for increased prices of consumer goods, including fuel prices; Democrats pointed to positive economic indicators, such as unemployment.

Pennsylvania Senate race in the air

Oh: Trump’s endorsement of US Senate candidate in Pennsylvania, Sean Parnell, suspended his campaign after losing court battle for custody of his three children on Monday, in which a judge said he believed Parnell’s abuse of his estranged wife.

In a statement, Parnell said he was devastated by the judge’s decision and plans to ask the judge to reconsider but he cannot continue his campaign.

Now what? The Senate seat in Pennsylvania opens in 2023 with the retirement of two-term Republican US Sen. Pat Toomey, and both Republicans and Democrats have a large field of candidates in a politically divided state.

Parnell’s withdrawal comes as many state Republicans, including conservative commentator Kathy Burnett, real estate investor Jeff Bartos, and Trump’s ambassador to Denmark, are undecided about their constituency.

Wild Card: Vortex is the brainchild of Mehmet Oz – who earned a reputation as a heart surgeon and host of TV’s “Dr. Oz Show” Oprah Winfrey – who is encouraging her to enter the Republican primary.

Congratulations to all the Grammy nominees today! – Mabinti
