Apple announced Tuesday that it plans to host a special event on October 18 with the tagline “Unleashed.”
Apple Marketing Executive Greg Josviak teased the fall event On Twitter. It takes place at the Steve Jobs Theater, the company’s corporate headquarters in Cupertino, California, and is broadcast live on Apple’s web site and other platforms.
Apple has not provided any details on what will be announced during the event. However, the company is expected to unveil the latest version of its MacBook Pro laptops. Earlier versions were rumored to be using Apple’s “M1X” processor after the Intel chips were used.
The MacBook Pro is expected to be released in 14-inch and 16-inch versions and features a mini-LED display and MagSafe charger, 9 to 5 Mach Reported. Apple has not confirmed those details yet. The last version of the MacBook was released in 2019.
The latest version of Apple’s AirPods can be announced at the event.
The October 18 event takes place nearly a month after Apple unveiled its iPhone 13 and many other new devices. Any other product announcements could have major implications on Apple’s critical holiday sales.
