Baker Mayfield was so excited during the Los Angeles Rams’ 17-16 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night that he hit his head during the victory.
A helmetless Mayfield was caught on video headbutting helmeted teammate Robert Rochelle.

Rochelle, a 24-year-old cornerback, took a step back and put his hand on his helmet after the helmet-to-head snap, apparently taken aback.
It was an impressive comeback for Mayfield. The 27-year-old quarterback led Los Angeles to two scoring drives late in the fourth quarter, capped by a 23-yard scoring pass to Van Jefferson with 10 seconds left. Mayfield went 22 of 35 for 230 yards and eventually snapped a six-game losing streak for the Super Bowl champions.
“I don’t know if you can write it any better than that,” Mayfield said. “Obviously we want to be a little less stressed, but it’s a pretty good story, I’ll be honest with you.”
Mayfield, 27, was waived by Carolina on Monday and claimed by the Rams on Tuesday.
The Rams, who have been without Matthew Stafford since Week 11 due to various ailments, are now 4-9. The Raiders fell to 5-8. Rams coach Sean McVay announced Sunday that Stafford will be out for the rest of the season with a spinal contusion.
