After running the hottest babyface in WWE history, Becky Lynch took time for her other ambition, motherhood. In the Raw edition of May 11, 2020, Lynch walked away as the top draw and main event for a company full of talent, giving away the Raw Women’s title to Asuka. The wrestling world responded with great support to “The Man” and her partner Seth Rollins.
Becky appeared on Ryan Satin Out of character Podcast She recently opened up about her spare time and the reflections she has made in her spare time. She knew she was giving up the top, but Lynch saw it as a challenge.
“Sometimes, I think I’m a glutton for punishment because I love the challenge. Going away, I knew I was losing my top, so it was a challenge. I guess everything was a rocky montage, okay? Coming back … How could this be a Rocky movie? I’m going, A year and a half away, and then I come back and think if I can still go and I still want to go.
When she saw her return as a big challenge, Becky admitted she wasn’t 100% sure what she was going to accept. Lynch said it was a 50/50 decision on whether she should return to the ring and the road or stay home and raise her child.
“I’m probably 60%,” she told Satin. “I’m going back, but 40%. I don’t know how to be a mother. I know how to be a single woman with no real priority, but as a mother and as a person in charge of a small creature, how am I going to be and whether it’s going to change me.” What I didn’t know was, ‘You know what, maybe I want to be home now.’ I don’t want to be home. “
Becky Lynch returned to WWE SummerSlam in 2021, shocking fans with a surprise appearance and an award win over Bianca Belair. Hot shot booking has left a bitter taste in the mouths of many fans. Lynch defends her championship in a WWE SmackDown loaded on FS1 this Friday.
