America’s communities are being gripped by a historic border crisis, a direct result of the Biden administration’s flawed but deliberate policy decisions. And what is the president’s message to the American people affected by this security and humanitarian crisis? There are “more important” things going on than visiting the border.
Such a statement defies belief and facts – we are currently witnessing record numbers of unaccompanied alien children (UAC) at the border, migrant women who are physically, emotionally and sexually abused along the way, and hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens “on the run”. we are “Flooding in American communities. An official visit to the southern border will not solve the crisis, but the president’s disapproving response shows that the Biden administration is indifferent to the carnage and lawlessness that is taking place.
Addressing this devastating crisis will require tough decisions on immigration enforcement. Instead, some in Congress are pushing for legislation in the lame-duck session of Congress to grant amnesty to so-called “Dreamers” — illegal aliens who came to the U.S. as minors. Promoting amnesty for 2-3 million “young” illegal aliens, which is a far cry from the estimated 650,000 illegal aliens under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), will fuel the next wave of trafficked UACs.
SENATORS TILLIS, CINEMA LAME-DUCK IN SESSION revive talks on potential immigration deal.
The reported immigration compromise behind closed doors is a gross misalignment of priorities compared to what the American people want. This is irresponsible and should be strongly rejected.
Several senators reportedly want to tie the broad amnesty to more funding for Border Patrol agents, bonuses for agents, a one-year extension of Title 42 and faster processing of asylum applications. Having had direct responsibility for managing several border crises, I can tell you that this approach will not fix the crisis. Instead, this approach is a continuation of the Biden administration’s two-year failure to manage the crisis, rather than an attempt to solve it. And the results will be the same.
Throwing money at the problem will not protect the border. That makes it a border crisis funded only by Congress. And while overworked and disrespected Border Patrol agents deserve a raise, the Biden administration’s policies continue to hamper their ability to fulfill their law enforcement duties. While faster processing of asylum claims may seem attractive, in practice it has the opposite effect and results in more ineligible economic migrants being released into the country. Does anyone really believe that the Biden administration will increase deportations after two years of record low removals?
The Biden administration and its allies in Congress poisoned the amnesty well by not securing the border in the first place. No sane person would support amnesty during a border crisis with an unprecedented number of UACs being smuggled across the border today, tomorrow or in the future.

We must not ignore the current crisis of unaccompanied minors. During the Biden administration, more than 292,000 UACs were released across the border into American communities. Advocating for amnesty at the height of this crisis is tantamount to throwing gasoline on an already raging fire.
History shows that even Congressional talk of amnesty increases illegal immigration, as you saw in the failed attempts at “comprehensive immigration reform” in 2007, 2008, and 2013. the southern border will begin two years after the policy is announced. There is no doubt that the cartels will use this latest effort to legalize the “Dreamers” to lure the next wave of vulnerable migrants into horrific abuse on the journey north, where they will deserve the next amnesty. .
The Supreme Court appears poised to declare DACA unconstitutional. If this Congress was serious about legalizing its specific population of illegal aliens, they would have had two years to do so. Instead, they sat on the sidelines while the executive branch dismantled the legacy border security apparatus. Now, some in Congress are getting greedy and are trying to amnesty the illegal alien population at least three times larger than DACA. Only after the Department of Homeland Security secures the border will it be appropriate for Congress to consider a narrower DACA issue.
The Trump administration has offered a permanent solution to DACA in exchange for border security and asylum reforms that would prevent the current border crisis and potential future crises. It failed, largely because of objections from the left, who were desperately trying to get a vote for amnesty without securing the border. Now is not the time to solve a political problem. Instead, it’s time to protect the border.
