President Biden declared “America is back” in a phone call Thursday to “Today” show co-host Al Roker at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Roker, broadcasting live from the parade, asked the president, “What is your message to the American people today?”

Biden responded, “My message is, after two years, you are back, America is back. There is nothing we can not overcome, Al. And you have a reason for that. You are always standing up and moving.”
The traditional parade returned to its pre-epidemic form Thursday after being transformed last year and astonishing the crowd.
“Thank you very much,” Roker told the president. “Santa’s coming.”
“I’m waiting for Santa,” Biden replied.
