Clint Frazier, released by the Yankees, entered MLB free agency


Clint Frazier is officially no longer a Yankee.

The team announced Tuesday that Frazier and infielder Rougned Oder have been released four days after they were designated for deployment. Tyler Wade was also a DFA, but the Yankees traded him to the Angels on Monday to name or cash the player.

Frazier, 27, was a key factor in the 2016 trade with Cleveland against Andrew Miller. The No. 1 pick in the 2013 draft. 5 Option – Yankees praised GM Brian Cashman for his “legendary” bat speed – named a left-handed fielder for the 2021 season after a strong showing during the 2020 brief campaign, but did not play after June 30 because of health problems associated with dizziness.
