CM Punk had a big line for MJF because he called the Salt of Earth a “lesser known Miz.” This sparked a huge response from the Chicago crowd.
MJF had a chance to fire because CM Punk was called “PG Punk”. He wanted to know what happened to the CM Punk version he loved years ago. He then suggested that Punk could come in there and preach “hustle, loyalty and respect.” That John Cena quote brought a big response from the crowd.
Punk took a shot from MJF as the Dynamite Diamond Ring wearer dropped the “King of Kings” reference. That was a clear reference to Triple H.
CM Punk did not let the fire go back. He said he is selling Madison Square Garden, but MJF is “marking Rosie O’Donnell.” She joked about having a daughter that Tony would one day marry MJF, another obvious dig at Triple H and her marriage to Stephanie McMahon.
It was certainly a fantastic back and forth promo between MJF and CM Punk. This is something special for the Chicago audience, to be sure.
