‘Dances With Wolves’ actor Nathan Chasing Horse held in jail over sex assault charges

“Dances with Wolves” actor Nathan Chasinghorse made a brief first court appearance Thursday after he was arrested for assaulting local women and girls and accused of leading a cult.

The 46-year-old stalking horse appeared in court in North Las Vegas dressed in blue prison garb and handcuffs and did not try to make eye contact with his family in the front row of the gallery.

The actor, best known for his role in the 1990 Kevin Costner film “Dances with Wolves,” was taken into police custody Tuesday after SWAT officers raided his North Las Vegas home, where Prosecutors claim he lives with his “five wives”.

Authorities have alleged that he is the leader of a sect called “Circle” and have been arrested after a month-long investigation.

The actor, whose full name is Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse, will be charged with sex trafficking, sexual abuse of a child under 16 and child abuse, but formal charges have yet to be filed.

He did not speak during his less than five-minute court hearing Thursday, even when the judge said “good morning” to him.

The judge said there was enough evidence to hold him in the Clark County Jail without bail. A prosecutor said in court Thursday that he will be back in court Monday for a full bail hearing, where victims, FBI agents and detectives are expected to speak.

Las Vegas officials say Chasing Horse has attacked at least six different women over the past two decades.

Two women in his apparent “cult” told police that he kept “suicide pills” in his home, and that he told them to “take the pill to kill himself if he dies or law enforcement.” Try to break up their family,” according to Until his arrest warrant.

Police also said that one of his many wives was only 15 years old when she was offered as a gift. Chase Horse also apparently armed the women in his life and told them to shoot the police if they tried to arrest him.
