Elon Musk answers Republican’s complaint over Sen. Steve Daines’ Twitter lock: ‘This is being fixed’


Elon Musk on Tuesday Montana Sen. Rep. Steve Diens, R., weighed in on the Twitter account after complaints about the lockout, telling a Republican user who called for a suspension that the problem was being resolved.

The censorship began with an alleged violation of Twitter’s “graphic violence” media policy.

While the ban sparked a larger conversation about ongoing concerns about Big Tech censorship, Musk’s direct response follows a precedent that he will be more hands-off about complaints circulating on the platform.

The complaint is also consistent with concerns that the platform has historically censored conservative voices, including former President Donald Trump, whose lifetime ban from Twitter was lifted under Musk’s leadership.

According to The Hill, NRSC spokesman Philip Letso said of the suspension in a statement Tuesday, “This is insane. Twitter should immediately reverse this suspension.”

When contacted by Dennis’ team for comment on the ban, he responded by saying, “My wife is a great shot. What can I say?”

Twitter has also been reached out to consider a ban, but has yet to receive a response.
