England star says four players will “never play for Spurs again” after Europa League “disgrace”

Four Tottenham players have been branded a “disgrace” after the 2-1 Europa League defeat to NS Mura, with one pundit suggesting that the quartet should never play for the club again.

It was a thoroughly embarrassing evening for Antonio Conte’s side, who gave up a second goal in the 94th minute after Harry Kane restored parity behind.

Slovenian Minnows Mura lost all four of their previous Europa League ties, adding to Spurs’ misery, who now sit second in the G group – four points behind Rennes.

The only saving grace abroad is the fact that he played most of the match with 10 men after Ryan Sessegnan’s early dismissal.

However, this was not enough to prevent former Inter boss Conte from hitting his players in front of the media.

“I’m happy to stay here but we have a lot of work to do to improve the quality of the team,” Conte told reporters.

“We have a major gap with Tottenham but top teams but I don’t care.”

Toxport pundit, and former Spurs prospect Jamie O’Hara was even more poignant in his assessment, distinguishing Dele Alli and Tangui Nombele and Defenders Matt Doherty and Davinson Sanchez for particularly poignant criticism.

“These are the Slovenian top-flight team and I expect the National League team to offer the game,” O’Hara told Sky Sports News (via The Mirror).

“It’s a shame and some players – and I name them too – Doherty, Ndombele, Dele There, Davinson Sanchez, are absolutely shocking.

“They shouldn’t wear a Spurs shirt again. Some in my opinion.”

According to the former Fulham and Wolves midfielder, the behavior of some teammates is completely wrong, which Conte will not tolerate for much longer.

“These guys are just strolling around the park like they are dismissing the game. They think they are too good to play in it,” he said.

“It’s a complete insult to some of them – and if Conte doesn’t make big changes – get them out of the club, get rid of them, remove them from the pay bill. We don’t need them. It’s pathetic.”
