Eric Cantona has been confirmed as the new Manchester United manager

After Manchester United dismissed one club legend, they couldn’t hire another straight away … could they?

According to Eric Cantona, he is set to become the club’s next gaffer after announcing the disclosure in an earlier Instagram post today.

King Eric He was a serious talent in his heyday, scoring 70 Premier League goals for United between 1992 and 1997.

However, since his retirement, the 55-year-old has not exactly set the management world, previously only coaching the beach football team in France.

Best known for film screenings, it represents a career change for a person who is still sung at Stretford End.

And yet, here comes the confirmation directly from the horse’s mouth.

While Cantona looks pretty earnest in the video, we suspect that United fans need a little more convincing than that.

After all, several reports in recent days have linked Pochettino and Lucien Favre with the vacant manager role.

It remains to be seen what exactly Cantona is delusional, though it suggests that we will not wait too long to find the “meet you soon” sign off.

His statement has yet to influence bookmakers, as Pochettino and Valverde are still leading as favorites.

We suspect that the United Board is not completely blinded by nostalgia … again.
