Amazon-backed electric vehicle maker Rivian R1S has begun notifying customers of booking a SUV with delays in delivery, the media reported on Wednesday.
Its shares fell 4.5% to $ 114.31 during midday trading.
The company had earlier said it would begin production of R1S at the Normal, Illinois plant in December, with the first deliveries expected in January.

The start of flush with money from a successful $ 100 billion-worth IPO has announced plans for a second US factory and eventually wants to open plants in Europe and China. It did not provide a location or time frame for the second US plant.
The company’s shares rose 53% on its Nasdaq debut on November 10, securing Rivian’s second-most valuable US automaker’s position.
