EXCLUSIVE: Ridley Scott has revealed that Idris Elba was shot in the footage of an American gangster because the directors tricked him into reeling – after Alec Baldwin’s fatal shooting in Rust

Ridley Scott has revealed that he thinks the actor was actually shot in the American gangster after being tricked by the director Idris Elba by reprising him – after insisting that safety-conscious Scott should not have a blank space in the gun.

The 83-year-old Scott, the weapon used on the set, had a solid-filled barrel, which contained no bullets, said Frank Lucas, the right-hand man at the head of the mob, played by Denzel Washington, for the scene where he put the gun. Tango forehead of Elba character.

Elba was dealing with the tragic death of actor John-Eric Hexham, who had shot a gun in her head – but Hexom had a gun in her gun, but there was no space in Scott’s gun for Elba’s fake shooting.

But to add realism and draw feedback from Elba, Scott told him to turn his head to the barrel – so he was shocked by the retreat in the 2007 film scene.

Scott said: ‘He’s in the caf ಮತ್ತು and he says’ stay here’ and he goes out and all his brothers are watching, and he goes down the street, and Idris Elba is standing there. Shoot me Frank in front of people “.

And he’ll just go boom and shoot him on the spot.

What happened was, I told Idris, “Listen, when he shoots a gun at your head” – because it’s a gun with a solid barrel, no aperture, I’ll never risk it – but when you pull the trigger there is no recoil, no empty, nothing.

‘So I said,’ You should lean on a firearm. ‘

The movement of a firearm on Elban’s head caused him to fall to the ground instinctively, feeling that he had been shot by a bullet from Washington.

Ridley, who also directed Alien and Blade Runner, added: ‘They pulled the trigger and it would be’ bang ‘. Idris thought he had been shot and slipped into the sidewalk and said, “I’ve been shot!”

Paul Biddis, a weapons expert for films and a gun specialist who currently works with Scott, said: ‘They’re very hot on safety.

What they were referring to from the solid barrel was that the bullet in the barrel was not able to pass through the bullet so completely, so it was a completely disabled impractical gun.

But they were still able to create a retreat effect for film purposes using something used in films called the UTM Round. The barrel can be put into a fully loaded weapon and it will still cause a blow.

‘It’s like a small silver case that responds to compressed air. It can be used repeatedly for a repulsive effect each time.

‘It is often used in close-up execution shots in films.’

Paul, who has been a paratrooper for 24 years and a military technical consultant for the film’s training role, said: ‘Unfortunately there are a lot of inexperienced bodyguards trying to get their foot in the industry. No weapon should be signed for a weapon containing live bullets, even if it is not directly aimed at anyone.

Speaking about how the expression ‘cold gun’ was used to denote that the gun was safe in the tragic accidental shooting of Halina Hutchins by Alec Baldwin, Paul said: ‘I have never heard of that expression a cold gun. George Clooney, who accompanied me to my first cinema, says he has never heard of it. ‘

Without even using empty bullets, such as gunpowder crates that explode without a bullet or projectile, Ridley Elba avoided the danger of the scene, leading to the tragic death of US actor John-Eric Hexham.

Hexham was joking on the set of a television show in 1984 when he filled a revolver, put the gun into his temple and opened fire.

He was not killed by the projectile coming out because it was empty, but the force of a rifle’s explosion against his head made him nervous and strong enough to break his skull. He died a few days later in the hospital.

It comes as Alec Baldwin is suing Rust cinematographer Halina Hutchins for his accidental shooting last month.

On the set of his film Rust in New Mexico on October 21, Alec accidentally fired a gun that killed Hutchins.

According to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office, Baldwin, who was filming an upcoming Western film in New Mexico, was told the prop gun was ‘cold’ or safe to use while rehearsing on the set.

But the tragedy unfolded when the weapon was shot, loaded with live rounds, killing Hutchins and wounding film director Joel Souza.

Baldwin released a statement saying he was “shocked and saddened by the accident that took his wife, mother and our colleague, Halina Hutchins.”

‘I am fully cooperating with the police investigation to inform how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, my support for him and his family,’ he said.

‘My heart is broken for all who knew and loved her husband, their son and Haleena.’
