Many fans took to social media to share their confusion over Madonna’s appearance at the 2023 Grammys on Sunday.
The “Vogue” songstress, 64, took the stage to introduce Kim Petras and Sam Smith for her “unchic” look after fans commented on her look — especially her face.
“I’m trying to ignore the fact that Madonna has a brand new face. #GRAMMYs,” tweeted one fan with a meme video of Adele looking confused at a basketball game. .
What happened to Madonna’s face?! #GRAMMYs,” someone else wrote.
“It looks like a Madonna impersonator with pictures of legal rhe. [sic] The real Madonna in the background. She really cleaned up her face,” another person wrote, referring to photos of Madonna’s most famous on-stage looks over the years.
“Madonna looks good for her age… if she’s a 2,700 year old vampire who eats babies and small animals alive,” someone else chimed in.
“Is Madonna nominated for ‘Best New Face’ at this year’s Grammy Awards?” said one user.
“What magic formula was used to create #Madonna’s new face👀🤷🏽♀️? I’m so confused #GRAMMYs,” someone else added, along with a GIF of various math equations.

The “Material Girl” songstress wore her hair back in a high ponytail with tight braids hanging down the sides of her face for a neutral look with her bleached brows.
She wore a matching black blazer dress and maxi skirt over a white collared shirt and black tie and spiced it up with fishnet tights and purple platform heels.
The “Material Girl” songstress — who has yet to acknowledge any of her haters — appeared briefly at the 65th annual awards show to introduce Smith and Petras.
“Here’s what I’ve learned after four decades in music,” he began in his speech. “If they call you shocking, defamatory, disturbing, annoying, provocative or dangerous, you’re definitely on to something.”
The Queen of Pop thanked all of her fellow “rebels” for “forging a new path and bringing warmth to it all.”
Madonna – who will be hitting the road later this year for her “Celebration” tour – has been the recipient of several notices of concern and criticism over the past year for her “weird” face. The plastic surgeon’s doctors previously told Page Six that they believed her face work, nose job and skin had been “pulled back” — in addition to other injections.
