Fed Chair Powell to deliver first public remarks after monster jobs report

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell will make his first public appearance on Tuesday after Friday’s tepid January jobs report.

Powell will participate in a question-and-answer session with David Rubinstein of the Economic Club of Washington.

Powell is expected to discuss the current state of the US economy, the central bank’s actions in the fight to reduce historic inflation.
