Richmond, Va. () – Federal prosecutors say a former owner of a Richmond-assisted living facility has pleaded guilty to a health fraud after spending more than $ 800,000 on a resident’s care on travel, personal loans and gambling.
Mayble Jones owns and operates Jones & Jones, a living facility that helps older and disabled adults. Court records state Jones has spent more than $ 800,000 on resident benefits, which led to a lack of risk to the health and safety of residents.
Jones faces a maximum of 10 years in prison when sentencing, which is set for January.
