After winning the inaugural UFC Women’s Flyweight title in 2017, Montano faced major health fears that led to his removal from the UFC 228 title defense against Valentina Shevchenko. That event eventually lost her title.
Montano (4-3) last saw action against Juliana Pena in 2019 and lost by decision. She has since been booked four more times, all of which have been scraped up due to injury, a doctor’s recommendation, COVID-19 and a terrible weight loss.
