FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott and President Jay Wallace announced the recipients of the 2022 FOX News Media Spotlight Awards at a year-end town hall employee event on Tuesday.
The FOX News Media Spotlight Awards are a tradition at FOX News Media, with management receiving hundreds of nominations from employees eager to celebrate team members who deserve special recognition. As Wallace served as Monday’s “Lucky Guy” along with Harris Faulkner, Dagen McDowell and Emily Compagno, Scott and Wallace took to the “huge” set to present the honors.
“These awards help us recognize extraordinary employees who go above and beyond in and out of the workplace,” said Scott.

The Community Service Award is presented to an employee who has given time and effort to their local community and is most active in the company’s volunteer efforts.
Community Service Award: Emily Compagno
This award is given to the employee who has given time and effort to their local community and is most active in the company’s volunteer efforts. Compagno also served as Grand Marshal of the NYPD Columbia Association in New York’s Columbus Day parade and is an ambassador for K-9 Hurricane’s Heroes, a charity that provides subsidized veterinary care to retired law enforcement and military dogs.

The Inclusive Ambassador of the Year Award recognizes an employee who exemplifies celebration, engagement and advocacy on behalf of diverse community voices.

The Inclusive Ambassador of the Year award is for an employee who exemplifies celebration, engagement and advocacy on behalf of diverse community voices within and outside of FOX News Media. Mohammed, director of technical operations and engineering based in Washington, D.C., has done just that by creating a culture of diversity, inclusion and belonging, and by regularly encouraging people to step outside their comfort zones to grow professionally.

The Impact Award is given to someone who has made a significant and positive impact on business processes and profitability over the past year. Lubell, an operations manager for a media production group, has been nominated an astounding 10 times. His work is critical to FOX News Media, and colleagues say he has been “absorbing information like a sponge” since joining the team in 2021. Lakia Atkins
Atkins, associate producer on the DC assignment desk, is a new addition to FOX News Media and has quickly made a name for herself with reliable speed and thoughtfulness. He’s delivered flawless live footage and doesn’t flinch when ever-changing news cycles change plans with little notice.
Samuel Harris
Harris, a technology operations and engineering transmission operator, has developed bookings for studio vans, traditional studios and news feeds, embracing his role despite being hired when training new staff during the pandemic became difficult. He has expanded his responsibilities and is always looking to take on new challenges, playing a key role in the Resource Operations Center and helping FOX News Media grow in the process.
