Investigators confirmed on Tuesday that Gabby had strangled Petito to death.

“In the death of Gabriel Venora Petito, the cause of death is strangulation and it is homicide,” said Dr. Blue.
He said the breakup would indicate the body was out for three to four weeks.
The release of details of her death after the discovery of her remains on the edge of the Bridger-Teton National Forest represents the most significant update in the investigation.
Dr Blue said the delay in releasing the cause of death was due to a comprehensive investigation by law enforcement agencies, including the FBI.
Ms Petito’s family was informed of the results before the press conference.
Brian Laundry and Mrs. Petito leave from Long Island, New York, on July 2 on a month-long cross-country van-life tour.
On August 12, police were called to a violent dispute between the couple in Moab, Utah.
Mr. Landry flew home to Florida on August 17, leaving Mrs. Petito on his own in Salt Lake City.
They returned on Aug. 23, and saw the couple walk out of the hotel room the next day.
Mrs. Petito was last seen on August 27, and the FBI requested to see her between August 27 and 30.
On September 1, Mr. Landry returned the couple’s van to Florida.
She was lost on September 11, which sparked a nationwide hunt.
Mr Laundry has escaped from the authorities and is the subject of massive hunting nationwide.
