‘Game of Thrones’ star Hannah Waddingham says she was “groped” on ‘Benidorm’ set

Waddingham played Tonya Dyke in the sixth season of the long-running holiday show, which aired back in 2014.

Earlier this year, Waddingham revealed that game of Thrones Sansa Stark scrapped a harsh story for her character after a fan reaction to the rape scene.

The actress played Septa Unella on the HBO show, whose final scene in season six sees her doused with alcohol by Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). The moment ends when The Mountain (Hafor Julius Björnsson) enters the room and closes the door, before cutting to a different scene.

“He was supposed to be raped by The Mountain, and I think he had so many complaints about Sansa’s rape that he decided not to go through with it,” she said. collider.
