George Soros donates another $50 million to Dem PACs, doubling interim spending

Billionaire George Soros this week dropped a $50 million donation to a top Democratic super PAC, reportedly doubling his contributions for the 2022 midterms.

Soros has contributed to Democracy PAC, which is expected to use the funds to help Democrats prepare for the 2024 election cycle. According to Politico, one donation will bring his total spending on the 2022 midterm elections to $50 million and will be distributed among candidates and PACs across the country.

Soros’ midterm donations have reportedly made him the single largest donor to Democrats in 2022, and his donations this week show he intends to remain a major player in the next cycle.

Democracy PAC advertises itself as a supporter of pro-democracy candidates “regardless of party.” Soros’ son Alexander also served as president of the PAC, and Soros himself reportedly donated $125 million to the organization in January 2021.
