New York Mets Just paid starting pitcher Justin Verlander $86.6 million over two seasons.
Fortunately, you can see him and his new teammates much cheaper this year.
In fact, tickets for some home games at Citi Field are very low $5 before payment this is the season.
While we can’t guarantee that Verlander will be on the field the day he goes to the Flushing Arena, we can promise you the price of admission to see Buck Showalter’s team. It costs less than what you would spend at Shake Shack on some days in the center square.
So, if you want to see Verlander, Scherzer, Alonso, Lindor, Diaz and other metropolitans win next season, grab tickets while they are available in single digits.

Mets 2023 season
This year’s Mets season is a lot different than last year’s contenders.
The perennial number one starter for beginners Jacob deGrom played for the Texas Rangers after receiving a massive five-year, $185 million contract.
And, for the first time ever, each team will play the other 29 teams in the American and National Leagues.
That means the Mets will face deGrom’s Rangers at Citi Field August 28, August 29 and August 30.
Before that, Verlander’s 2022 champion Houston Astros take on the Mets in Houston. June 19, June 20 and June 21.
They say “everything’s bigger in Texas” — and now that’s true when it comes to the Mets’ rivalry with in-state teams.
