Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo talked about getting “a little weird” to celebrate his birthday after Monday’s win over the Magic.
During his postgame press conference, the two-time MVP, who turned 28 on Tuesday, was smitten with reporters as he discussed potentially NSFW birthday plans with longtime girlfriend Mariah Riddlesprigger.
“I don’t know if my lady has anything planned for me,” Antetokounmpo said. Holding a Homer Simpson doll. “I hope they have something planned for me. Maybe a birthday cake, maybe a birthday card or a birthday watch or jewelry. I love it.
“I know my family is watching right now, they have to go and get them. I don’t want to go to dinner because I have a game the next day. I want to rest and get my usual treatment, sleep and play with my kids [sons Liam Charles and Maverick Shai]. You never know what happens after I put my kids to bed [winks], you know. It can be a little weird [laughs]. It’s my birthday.”
