Nick Sirianni’s coaching accomplishments in his second season with the Eagles haven’t impressed a certain NFC East rival.
Appearing on NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” Thursday, Giants safety Julianne Lowe didn’t hold back in explaining the 41-year-old Siriani, who led the Eagles to the NFC championship game last Sunday. Coached to a Super Bowl berth. 49ers
“He’s a guy who’s doing a really good job because he’s not getting in the way of his team. He’s got a veteran roster from top to bottom, offense, defense,” said Love, who Criticized separately after.
“He just came along for a free ride, you guys can coach this team.”
Siriani joined the Eagles in January 2021 after serving as the Colts’ offensive coordinator from 2018-2020. The Eagles, who boasted eight Pro Bowl selections, including MVP candidate Jalen Hurts, finished the regular season 14-3, including two wins against the Giants. Philadelphia later hosted Big Blue in the divisional round of the playoffs, with the Eagles defeating the Giants 38–7.
There is no love lost between the Eagles and Giants, as Love himself demonstrated earlier this week when the Empire State Building lit up a portion of the Manhattan skyline in green and white to celebrate Philadelphia’s latest victory. Celebrated by lighting up.

As for what’s next for the fourth-year player, Love previously expressed his desire to stay with the Giants in free agency, but knows he “has to do the best” for him.
“I love this place,” Love said. “The staff has been great. It’s something you want to come back to, but football isn’t forever. I put my body on the line every game. When I say, ‘I want to do the best I can.’ To do,’ so that’s short-term thinking. You have to do your best to secure generational wealth for your family.”
Although their season ended with a heartbreaker in Philadelphia, the Giants exceeded expectations by punching their ticket to the playoffs after a six-year drought. Love tipped his hat to first-year coach Brian Daboll, calling the Coach of the Year candidate a “breath of fresh air.”
“That’s how I feel,” Love said, “and it’s been refreshing compared to before.”
The Eagles will face the Chiefs in Super Bowl 2023 on Sunday, February 12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
