Giants Leonard Williams was inspired by the meeting of Michael Strahan

There are many reasons the Giants win the Super Bowls after the 2007 and 2011 seasons, and they have been a terrible team for most of the last decade. Failing to repeat and replace the once dreaded pass rush is at the top of the list of reasons.

Michael Strahan, the player who started everything in the last two championships, was his No. 1 seed in Sunday’s game against the Eagles at MetLife Stadium. 92 retires. Unfortunately, now it will be a moment to reflect on what happened and what happened.

“I know he has a 22-sack year, which is a record,” said Leonard Williams, the current Giants’ best defensive lineman. “I know he has a 92, because when I first got here, I wanted to get a 92 and I couldn’t afford it.

“He’s obviously a legend on and off the field, and I think what he’s done on and off the field makes him such a guy. This past offseason I was a finance-seminar in Denver, where I was trying to figure out what to do outside of football and what to do with your money. He was one of the speakers there – we were FaceTiming him on his private jet. The big message for us is to be yourself, don’t fake it, people will know that you are faking and be yourself.

It doesn’t look good for rookie WR Kadarius Tony this week. He did not practice Thursday, sitting out of the quad injury after not working on Wednesday. The Giants have a long rehearsal on Friday, and if Tony can’t get on the field, he’ll have no chance to play against the Eagles.

It looks like TE Kyle Rudolph (ankle) will not recover when playing on Sunday. Rudolph hurt his foot in his only reception last week in a 28-yard gain game in Tampa. … Special Team Nate Ebner was placed on injured reserve. … WR Sterling Shepard (Quad) has not practiced and will miss his fourth straight game.

The Giants didn’t play on Thanksgiving but they suffered a loss. He has a 2022 first-round draft pick of the Bears, and that option was No. 1 when the Bears scored a field goal in the final seconds to beat the Lions, 16-14. 7 to No. Dropped to 8.

TE Dion Yelder was added to the practice squad. Yelder, who is out of Western Kentucky, won the Super Bowl with the Chiefs and kicks off with the Washington, Titans and Buccaneers this year.
