Girl Scout cookie season begins in Siouxland


SIOUX CITY () – Girl Scout cookie season is here in Siouxland.

Cars, trucks and trailers lined up for the “Mega Drop” today. The Mega Drop is the time of year when Girl Scouts can pick up their cookies and hit the grounds selling delicious desserts.

The cookie sale is part of a long-standing Girl Scout tradition that provides many life lessons for girls.

“We teach them about entrepreneurship as well as some added bonuses, as well as safety and economics, learning to handle money, goal setting and for the girls to learn that,” said Elk Point Jefferson Troop Leader, Jessica LaFleve. is very important.

The proceeds from the sale of these cookies also provide the girls with unforgettable experiences and activities.
