Hikaru Shida returns to Japan after an injury angle at AEW Dynamite

Hikaru Shida recently received an awful shot from AEW rival Serena Deeb. In the latest issue of Dynamite, Shida worked Serena on her knee. The referee had to call off the match after Deeb Hikaru put Shida in half. The storyline injury seems to have kept Shida out of action for a while.

AEW is marketing it as a serious injury. The reason for the angle is simple. It was Shida Looking to return to Japan in February. She made the trip a little earlier than expected.

Dave Meltzer cited the angle cause this week Wrestling Viewer Newsletter. Shida is taking some time off to return to Japan. The angle of the injury was writing her off the television at the time.

“After the Deb’s injury angle on Dynamite, Shida has been back to Japan for a while.”

No date for Hikaru Shida’s return to the United States is known. AEW fans have to play the waiting game. Shida is likely rebounding and ready Try to win back the AEW Women’s World Championship.

The AEW women’s division leaned heavily on Shida in the days of the non-fan epidemic. Japanese star Tony Khan is happy to watch at his firm. Hopefully she has a fun and safe trip home!
