Ramona Singer may be done with “The Real Housewives of New York City,” but she’s not exactly off our screens just yet.
Fans were surprised to learn that the former reality star, 66, is starring in a short film called “Friendly Distractions,” which is currently in production.
“Why I just stumbled upon a short film starring Ramona Singer where she thinks her daughter is gay,” A fan tweeted. Tuesday, sharing a clip of the singer’s performance.
In the scene, the former “Housewife” questions whether her on-screen daughter Ella — played by Claire Tyers from “Search Party” — was gay.
After the clip went viral on social media, fans had mixed reactions to the singer’s new career choice, with several users criticizing the performance.
“The fact that I found out on grindr is even crazier than what’s going on,” one fan said, while another added, “It looks like a cheap porn intro.”
On the other hand, others praised her acting and even called for the Bravolebrity to receive an Academy Award.
“Oh she’s coming to the Oscars,” one fan wrote.
“I heard that even though she’s not nominated for an Oscar this year, they’re going to give her one anyway,” tweeted another.
“No acting class will teach anyone how to convey so much emotion with a simple shrug and that understated, subtle, look of disbelief… added another supporter.
It is still unclear when the short film will be released and if the singer plans to pursue an acting career. She has also previously played God in the 2019 film “Blair’s Lear – The Delivery Guy”.
Last November, Singer told Page Six exclusively that she was leaving “RHONY” after 13 seasons on the show.
“I don’t want to do the show anymore,” she told us at the time. “It’s not for me right now.”
Although fans were sad to see the singer leave the reality show, he revealed that he has “never been happier.”
“I’m 60 now, I’ve worked hard all my life. It’s time for me to just enjoy myself,” he told the Daily Mail last month. “And doing a show is not easy. I mean, people think it’s easy. So much pressure, so much pressure.”
She added, “I don’t miss it at all. It was a great experience and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
