The Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman banter continues.
The two actors have teased each other on social media for years, but it’s even more intense after it was announced that they’ll be working together in the upcoming Deadpool movie, starring Reynolds and Jackman reprising his role. The role of Wolverine from the “X-Men” franchise.
In the latest social media video posted by Jackman on Wednesday, the actor asked if Reynolds’ song “Good Day” from the Christmas movie “Spirited” should not be nominated for an Oscar.
“Good Day” was one of 15 songs nominated by the Academy for Best Score (Original Song) at this year’s awards ceremony.

“Hello everyone, it’s 2023 and I really wanted to send a positive message at the beginning of the year, but recent events have made that impossible,” Jackman began his Instagram video.
Jackman talked about how much he and his family loved the movie “Spirit,” the cast, and the Oscar-worthy song “Good Morning,” but he didn’t want Reynolds to win the Oscar. He said his introduction would change his life. “unbearable” for next year.
“But I just heard that the Academy has shortlisted ‘Good Day’ for Best Original Song,” the actor said in the video. “Now, Ryan Reynolds getting a nomination for Best Original Song makes the next year of my life unbearable.”
“It meant I got to shoot ‘Wolverine’ and ‘Deadpool’ with him for a year,” Jackman added. “Believe me, it would be impossible. It would be a problem.”

“So to reiterate, love Spirited, love Will, love Octavia, love Good Afternoon, love Benj and Justin,” Jackman said at the end of the video. “But please, seriously, don’t endorse Ryan Reynolds in this way. Please.”
Reynolds also posted the video on his Instagram feed.
“I know it’s still early, but have a great day, Mr. Jackman,” Reynolds captioned the video.

Just before Christmas, Jackman posted a video of himself and wife Deborra-Lee Furness dancing to a life-size cut-out of Reynolds from Spirits.
In September 2022, the two announced in a video on Twitter that they would be working on Deadpool 3 together.
