Police are looking for a sex attacker who raped a 15-year-old girl on the beach Bournemouth.
The incident took place at sea on Bournemouth beach near the Oceanarium at around 3.30 pm on Sunday.
Dorset police said the victim was playing with her friends when the ball hit a teenage boy.
The force said the boy threw the ball back and then engaged in a conversation before dragging the victim into the sea, where he raped her.
Police described the suspect as possibly between five feet and five feet seven inches tall, of Pakistani descent and thin but muscular build with short black hair, which was pushed back and looked to be freshly chopped.
He was wearing black or brown swimming shorts and told the victim that he was 17 years old and was on his way to Birmingham.
Detective Inspector Wayne Seymour of the Major Crime Investigation Team said: “The incident is under full investigation and we are continuing to support the victim during her interrogation.
“I know the beach was very busy on the day of the incident, so I’m appealing to anyone who was in the area and may have had any trouble with what happened, please come forward.
“In addition, I would urge anyone who was on the beach adjacent to the beach to review any photographs or video footage taken to see if they captured anything relevant. check.
“I’m especially looking forward to talking to anyone who recognizes the boy from the description given or may have seen him at the beach on Sunday, July 18.
“This incident will be a cause of concern to the wider community and we would like to remind the public that officers from the local neighborhood police team will be patrolling the area and may be contacted with any concerns.”
