‘I don’t know where she is’: The abduction of a 7-year-old child by a father who does not want to be vaccinated

For two months, Maricar Jackson has been trying to find her seven-year-old daughter, taking her ex-husband to an undisclosed location because he did not want to vaccinate the girl against COVID-19.

Now, the Regina, Sask.-area mother is turning to the public for help in her desperate attempt to find a little girl.

“In the epidemic, we want to be with our family. We want everyone to be safe and I don’t know where she is, ”Jackson told CTV National News.

“It is not good for a seven-year-old child to live in oblivion. It breaks my heart. ”

Jackson’s ex-husband Michael refused to return seven-year-old Sarah after a visit in November. Marikar wanted to vaccinate her daughter; Michael didn’t do it against the vaccine.

Maricar believes Sarah is being chased away by other children, out of school and into exile.

Meanwhile, Michael appeared on the right-wing talk show from an undisclosed location last week to discuss his views on the vaccine. During the interview, uploaded to the online platform Rumble, he and host exchanged unfounded and denied stories about the Kovid-19 vaccine, including false claims that the mRNA vaccine replaces human DNA.

“I am her father, my job is to protect her,” he says in the video.

“Even if your daughter dies one in a million, but she has a chance in a million to have a baby, isn’t that enough?”

The missing girl appears in the background of most of the interview. At one point, the host asks if her daughter needs the vaccine, at which point her father points the camera at her.

“It can change your DNA. I don’t believe God wants me. And it can make you sick and kill you,” the girl said.

The Saskatchewan RCMP says they are investigating but did not comment further on the matter.

Her mother says she still wants to vaccinate her daughter, but says her main concern is that she is safely back home. He says he is ready to take the decision to the court and to the judge.

Lawrence Pinsky, a family lawyer based in Winnipeg, Man., Says that this type of vaccine-related controversy is more common in Canada.

“[This] That has changed over time, and the problem with vaccinations is that people are asking the court to vaccinate or vaccinate their children, ”Pinsky told CTV National News.

“But the initial assumption is that the courts are pretty clear across the country but, particularly in Manitoba, vaccination is in the child’s best interest.”

In September, a court case in Saskatchewan involving divorced parents who disagreed with the vaccine issue made national headlines, and eventually the judge stood up for the father who wanted his 13-year-old daughter to get a shot.

In December, an Alberta judge ruled in favor of a woman who was fighting with her ex-husband over whether to vaccinate their children against COVID-19, the first such case in the province.

In a similar case in Quebec, a high court judge ruled on behalf of a mother who wanted to vaccinate her 12-year-old child against the father’s wishes.

“There may be an extraordinary case where parents are able to prove that a particular child has not been vaccinated, which is extremely rare and you have to bring strong evidence,” Pinsky said.

“In theory, there is a case if some medical evidence can be shown with specific evidence. Otherwise it is assumed that vaccines are in the child’s best interest.
