I found my lost Star Wars figure on my grandmother’s altar of saints

Is he a saint or a Sith?

A Spanish man has discovered Darth Sidious, also known as Emperor Palpatine, 15 years after his 90-year-old grandmother sat on the altar of Christian saints.

A man on TikTok posted a video about his amazing find at the end of November and the video has since been viewed nearly 52,000 times. In the clip, the man moves to a line of saints before zooming in on the action figure.

“The toy I lost 15 years ago, Lord Sidious from Star Wars, has become a saint,” the poster reads.

“She is my toy who was found and believed to be a saint, and she is the worst of the Sith, the toy that turns Anakin to the dark side.”

The TikToker explained that he lost the figurine as a child, and when his grandmother found it, he assumed it was a religious figure. Sidious’s hands are also held as if in prayer.

Emperor Palpatine, the alter ego of Darth Sidious in the Star Wars franchise, is the main character in all nine films. Sidious Jedi creates a violent Galactic Empire after seducing Anakin Skywalker to the dark side and turning him into Darth Vader.

The man said that his grandmother prays to the altar every day, meaning he prays to the Dark Lord of the Sith.

Posted in late November and has nearly 52,000 views on TikTok, the male holographic figure is promoted to sainthood before zooming in on it.

Bemused TikTokers shared their thoughts under the video.

“I’m sure he thinks it’s Benedict,” one user said, referring to Europe’s patron saint.

“I want to know what my grandma would say,” another user laughed.

“Grandma is coming soon: do you happen to know the legend of Darth Plagueis the Wise,” quipped a third user, referring to a famous quote from the franchise.
