Ice-T Reveals Daughter Chanel, 7, Still Sleeps In Bed With Him & Wife Coco Austin

Ice-T, the American rapper and actor, has revealed in a recent interview that his seven-year-old daughter, Chanel, still sleeps in bed with him and his wife, Coco Austin. The revelation has sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some people criticizing the couple’s decision and others defending their right to parent their child as they see fit.

Ice-T, who is best known for his role in the TV series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, made the comments during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. When asked about his sleeping arrangements, he responded: “Chanel still sleeps with us. We have a family bed. Everybody is happy. We get good sleep.”

The rapper went on to explain that he and his wife have always co-slept with their children, including their older daughter, who is now 31 years old. He also emphasized that he and his wife are comfortable with the arrangement and that it has not caused any problems for their family.

Despite Ice-T’s defense of his parenting choices, some critics have taken issue with the idea of a seven-year-old still sleeping in her parents’ bed. Many argue that children need their own space to grow and develop independence, and that co-sleeping for too long can be detrimental to a child’s emotional and social development.

However, other parents have come to the couple’s defense, arguing that every family is different and that there is no one “right” way to raise a child. Many have pointed out that co-sleeping is a common practice in many cultures around the world and that it can have many benefits, including promoting bonding between parents and children and helping to regulate a child’s sleep patterns.

Ultimately, the decision to co-sleep with a child is a personal one, and there is no one-size-fits-all answer. While some parents may choose to have their children sleep in their own beds from a young age, others may opt for a family bed or co-sleeping arrangement. As long as the child is safe and comfortable, and the parents are happy with the arrangement, there is no reason to judge or criticize their choices.
