Everyone wants to look like Mariah Carey for Christmas.
For Suellen Carey, who will be spending December as a pop star, the holiday season has become a wonderful holiday.
Carey, who shares the same last name as the “Fantasy” singer, was first told she looked like Mariah a decade ago when she began transitioning at the age of 23.
Now, the Brazilian-born diva says her bookings have increased by almost 150 percent over the holiday season thanks to her striking resemblance to the famous singer.
“People always said I looked like Mariah, but I never thought I could make a career out of that look,” the 35-year-old joked. “It’s been more than 12 years since I started transitioning. “Many people have said that I look like Mariah Carey.”
Although the London-based woman now spends her days performing at shows or doing “a lot of VIP appearances,” Carey said she was initially afraid of people calling her lookalikes because she thought people had a negative connotation of her as a “diva.” felt like being called.
“At first I thought people were insulting me because Maria is a diva, but then I realized that’s not the case,” she said.
According to Carey, she really started her talent in 2019 after being invited to a similar party.
Now, the look-alike says, during the holiday season, he’ll be “doing four or five events a week until Christmas,” and by Dec. 25, he’ll have pocketed nearly $18,000.
“Christmas is definitely my busiest time because of Mariah’s Christmas music and of course my appearance,” Carey said.
“Everybody knows Maria – she’s really become the owner of Christmas. Everybody sings, or at least knows, ‘All I Want for Christmas.’

The road to becoming a Christmas queen was not cheap. According to the Brazilian model, she has had several surgeries costing $10,000.
“I had a double breast, rhinoplasty, liposuction and brachioplasty – I removed excess skin to give my arms a younger and more athletic contour,” recalls the model.
“I’ve had my implants replaced twice,” she said. “The first time I didn’t have a breast because I put it on [in] 450 ml and after a few years I got bigger so I have 750 ml [implants] Today.”

“After my rhinoplasty and facial fillers, I looked a lot like her. If I do makeup and hair like her, I’ll look a lot like her,” she added.
On the way, there was a funny reaction to the unusual resemblance. Carey recalled the hilarious moment when a security guard at Mariah’s concert was convinced she was the “Hero” singer.
“At one of his shows, when I arrived, the security guards at the venue protected me until I explained. It was very confusing,” recalls Carey. “They thought I was him because I [looked] day is the same with him.”

But Carey says she gets stopped on the street by people who think she’s singing “Always My Baby,” and they respond with humor.
“People are surprised by my appearance. A lot of people are like, “Oh my god, it’s Mariah Carey, are you twins?” he shouts,” he said.
“I usually joke and say yes, but I don’t have all those dollars in my account.”
